Char’d City is a hot and new restaurant located in Baltimore, Maryland. A modern day Mom and Pop shop with a unique twist. I was obsessed with of this place and their potential to grow. Let’s get into it:
- I fell in love with Char’d City’s ambiance. Their big wood-fired grill, stage for live music, and charming artwork makes this spot one of a kind. There was no dead space inside, so I was constantly amused by the intricate art pieces hanging on the walls. My vision sees them hosting poets, singers and pianists, and other creatives on their stage. Who doesn’t love good live entertainment with their meal?
- Italian with a north African twist? Does it work? Will it taste good? Hell yes it works! I was stunned after being ambushed by such flavor coming from their Brik rolls and Tajine el Bey. The farm to table vibe was really exposed when I bite into the Brik roll, and I could taste how fresh the potatoes and tuna was! The Tajine aka Tunisian-style quiche was amazing, and the lamb was seasoned to perfection.
- Can we have a moment of silence for this Charm City Pie?….. It was a simple pie with mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, garlic, etc.. HOWEVER, they went crazy and slapped some blue crab on the pie. This was sooooo fire. When they placed this beauty on the table, I immediately looked like..
